Dare to Go Deeper

March 15, 2010

We will explore in this series, Dare to Go Deeper, based on Philippians 2, how to experience the life that Jesus intended for us.  We all sometimes get distracted and tend to buy into a life that God never meant for us. Eventually, the detours into individualism and materialism lead us to into places where we have to deal with more burdens, more struggles and more frustration than God intended us to have.  God placed in us kingdom ambition:  ambition to reach, seek and press forward for the “life abundant” Jesus promised. Kingdom ambition is not moving towards any destination where we can claim that “we have arrived, but into a life of being more like Him.  Most people are reaching for something, ANY thing, that they believe will fulfill them. Ecclesiastes reminds us that God has set eternity in our hearts.  Heaven is living in the reign and rule of God here on earth and in forever.

Going deeper is a forward motion.  People of faith must stop living outside-in, and start embracing transformation from the inside-out. The point is:  people are exactly where they want to be.  We choose what actions we will and won’t take.  Jesus has set the example and given us the paradigm and spiritual resources to live. Will you dare to go deeper with Christ?
